One of our team members, Aaron Biesman, a 20 year old has a peanut allergy. Today we ate our first meal in the village. For the first time that any of us can remember they served us a soup with peanuts in it. Aaron ate some of the soup before anyone realized that the peanuts were in there. He immediately took Benadryl and induced vomitting. Unfortunately the peanuts already started to effect him and he began to experience some swelling in his throat. A car transpoted him out of the village, on the ferry, and to the nearest town where an ambulance was waiting to carry him into Phnom Penh. He was treated at the hospital - and was realeased this evening. Praise God Aaron is okay! And, so is his mom, Collette - who is also on our team.
There are too many stories of how God took care of Aaron, and really all of us, today to share in this post. But, know this, God is soverign and he is good. Tonight we are very grateful!!
Please continue to pray for Aaron and Collette. They have had a very emotional and stessful day. Pray that Aaron has the energy to accomplish what God has sent him here to do.
I am so sorry you had an illness. There is nothing worse than being sick, especially an emergency type situation, when you are away from home. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers throughout every day. May God bless everything you do and everyone you touch.
